The American Revolutionary War will always be something to remember. But what most individuals do not know are all the events leading up to the war itself. The were numerous acts the British imposed upon the Colonists, some of them being the Navigation Acts, Stamp Act, Sugar Act, Declaratory Act and the Townshend Acts. There are three very important men who had much to do in the start of this war. Those three men, of course being Ben Franklin, Sam Adams, and John Adams. They all had a part that contributed to revolution of the colonists. There was one major event that was the turning point and somewhat set off the war. That event being the Boston Massacre. There were three major battles fought during this war. Those three battles were the Battle of Trenton, Battle of Saratoga, and Battle of Yorktown. Those three battles were fought in New Jersey, New York, and Virginia.
